Exchanges with Bulgaria, India and Sweden
25 September - 2 October 2016 & 12 - 19 October 2016

Professor Laurence BARBIER, Teacher from the Lycee Elie Cartan, La Tour du Pin, France, participated in the 12th ASEF Classroom Network Conference in Bulgaria for the first time. Since then, she has been actively participating in both the online collaborations as well as organised exchanges with the member schools. From 25 September - 2 October, her school received 15 students and 2 teachers from St. Mark’s Girls Senior Secondary School (SMGS), Meera Bagh, New Delhi, India. From 12 - 19 October, she hosted teachers and students from Sweden and Bulgaria.

Cultural Exchange Programme – India Meets Malaysia
25 March - 3 April 2016

St. Mark’s Girls Senior Secondary School, Meera Bagh, New Delhi has been very active with exchange programmes with the ASEF ClassNet member schools in 2016. In late March, Ms Anjali HANDA and her colleague, Ms Shruti SHARMA brought a delegation 10 students and embarked on a trip to Malaysia, visiting 5 schools (1) Sekolah Menengah Sains Selangor, (2) Sekolah Menengah Sains Seri Puteri (Kuala Lumpur), (3) Sekolah Menengah Sains Muzaffar Syah (Melaka), (4) Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Ahmad Shah (Pahang) and (4) Sekolah Menengah Sains Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra (Kelantan). New Chapter of Collaboration between St. Mark's Senior Secondary Public School and Spojena Skola

The collaboration between St. Mark's Senior Secondary Public School (India) and Spojena Skola (Slovakia) started after their participation in the 10th ASEF Classroom Network Conference in New Delhi, India in 2010. This year, both schools celebrated their cooperation with an exchange visit. 13 - 16 April 2016

Mrs Alina STEİU from Petru Maior” High School (Romania) first participated in the 12th ASEF Classroom Netowrk Conference in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2015. In her first year of being an ASEF ClassNet alumni, she already welcomed teachers and students from St. Mark's Senior Secondary Public School at her school in Gherla in April 2016. Boon Lay Secondary School (Singapore) Inaugural Homestay Exchange with Indian Schools
17 - 23 March & 25 March - 2 April 2016

A Homestay Exchange programme was inaugurated by Boon Lay Secondary School with two Indian Schools between end March to early April. The homestay exchange with Rishikul Vidyapeeth School (Sonipat) and St. Mark's Girls Senior Secondary School (Meera Bagh) India were initiated by the Principal, Mr TAN Chor Pang, who is a veteran member of the ASEF Classroom Network (ASEF ClassNet) Programme. Learning beyond Boundaries – A Home Stay Programme
11 – 20 December 2015

St. Mark’s Girls Senior Secondary School, Meera Bagh organised “Learning beyond Boundaries”to connect and collaborate with teachers and students across Asia and Europe. The school hosted teachers and students from Boon Lay Secondary School (Singapore) and teachers and students from the Christelijk College Nassau-Veluwe (The Netherlands). Intercultural Homestay Programme between St. Mark’s Girls Secondary School, India and Lappeenrannan Lyseon Lukio, Finland

Ms Anjali HANDA from St. Mark’s Girls Secondary School, New Delhi, India, visited Lappeenrannan Lyseon Lukio in Finland together with her students for a homestay programme - one of several spin-off activities of their ASEF ClassNet Online Collaboration. From 22 – 30 November 2011, 13 students from Millennia Institute (Singapore) and 13 students from Gimnazija Ptuj (Slovenia) together with their mentors, Desmond Tan, Tamiselvi Dio Muthu, Irena Ivanuš, Branimir Rokavec and Darja Rokavec built the first bridge of school co-operation between Singapore and Slovenia, actually the first bridge linking Slovenia and Singapore and Asia in general.

East Speaks West, West Speaks East Goes to Florence, Italy

"East Speaks West, West Speaks East" has been accepted to be presented in the 4th edition of the International Conference "ICT for Language Learning" which will take place in Florence, Italy on the 20 - 21 October 2011. This conference has the aim to promote and share good practice and transnational co-operation in the field of the application of ICT to language learning and training. It is also an excellent opportunity for the presentation of previous and current language learning projects funded by the European Commission and by other sources.

The first time we were told about ASEF and the AEC goes back to 2002 when a Portuguese participant of the first ever AEC conference held in Singapore the previous year revealed to us the great work which was being carried out by Asian and European partner schools setting the common goal of building everlasting bridges between both continents. Exchange Program between Al-Azhar Islamic Schools and St. Mark’s Schools
India, July 2010

In July 2010, 9 students and 2 accompanying teachers of Al-Azhar Islamic Senior High School 3 (known as SMA Islam Al-AZHAR 3), Jakarta visited St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School, Meera Bagh, New Delhi to start a face-to-face program between the two schools. The establishment of the partnership was initiated by two teachers from the two schools, Ms Wati Wardani and Ms Geeta Rajan who met each other during 8th Asia-Europe Classroom Network Conference in Sønderborg, Denmark in October 2009 organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF). Thanks to the active involvement in AEC Projects, 2 schools were brought together to collaborate. In November 2010, Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah (SAS) in Putrajaya, Malaysia invited 15 students and 3 teachers of Sekolah Islam Fitrah Al-Fikri (SIF AL-Fikri) to our school for a 5-day homestay program. MI. World International World Conference
Singapore, 28 April – 9 May 2010

The inaugural MI.WORLD International Conference 2010, organised by the Millennia Institute, gathered 58 students and 16 educators from 13 overseas partner schools to join with over 80 Millennian students for an educational and cultural exchange.
