Asia & Europe
Why don't we share a classroom in cyberspace?
Conceived in 1998, the Asia-Europe Classroom (AEC) is a programme under the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), which has a unique structure that connects secondary or high schools in Asia and Europe. Through its activities, the AEC provides opportunities for collaborative learning and intercultural exchanges. It is a cyber-classroom shared by students and teachers to build stronger bi-regional networks and partnerships in the course of implementing common online projects and participating in face-to-face exchanges. In early 2006, the Asia-Europe Classroom was renamed as the Asia-Europe Classroom Network (AEC-NET).
The principal activities held under the AEC-NET framework are the:
| • |
annual AEC-NET Conference, attended by secondary and high school teachers and educators from Asia and Europe |
| • |
various AEC online collaborative learning projects involving different groups of students from secondary and high schools of Asia and Europe and |
