AEC-NET

Asia & Europe
Why don't we share a classroom in cyberspace?

Conceived in 1998, the Asia-Europe Classroom Network (AEC) is a programme by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), which has a unique structure that connects secondary and high schools in Asia and Europe. Through its activities, the programme provides opportunities for collaborative learning and intercultural exchanges. It is a cyber-classroom shared by students and teachers to build stronger bi-regional networks and partnerships in the course of implementing common online projects (AEC Projects) and participating in face-to-face exchanges (AEC-NET Conference). In early 2006, the Asia-Europe Classroom was renamed as the Asia-Europe Classroom Network (AEC-NET).

The principal activities held under the AEC-NET framework include the following:

AEC-NET Conference, attended by secondary and high school teachers and educators from Asia and Europe

various AEC online collaborative learning projects (AEC Projects) involving different groups of students from secondary and high schools of Asia and Europe

quarterly e-newsletter

The AEC-NET is open to all secondary and high schools from the ASEM countries. Membership is free. Come and join us today!
