Why don't we share a classroom in cyberspace?


Conceived in 1998, the Asia-Europe Classroom (AEC) is a programme under the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), which has a unique structure that connects secondary or high schools in Asia and Europe. Through its activities, the AEC provides opportunities for collaborative learning and intercultural exchanges.  It is a cyber-classroom shared by students and teachers to build stronger bi-regional networks and partnerships in the course of implementing common online projects and participating in face-to-face exchanges. In early 2006, the Asia-Europe Classroom was renamed as the Asia-Europe Classroom Network (AEC-NET). 

The principal activities held under the AEC-NET framework are the:

annual AEC-NET Conference, attended by secondary and high school teachers and educators from Asia and Europe
various AEC online collaborative learning projects involving different groups of students from secondary and high schools of Asia and Europe and
